Healthpact Hospital is seeking a skilled and motivated Human Resources Officer to join our team. The HR Officer will be responsible for supporting the overall HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll processing, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. This role is essential to ensuring that Healthpact Hospital attracts, develops, and retains a talented workforce committed to providing high-quality healthcare services.

Healthpact Hospital Isiolo is a modern level 4 SHA accredited, patient-centered facility committed to delivering quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare to the Isiolo community and beyond, with monthly visits of above 4,000 patients. With a strong focus on innovation, compassionate care, and clinical excellence, we are setting new standards for healthcare delivery in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in driving culture change within the hospital, promoting a positive and inclusive work
  • Monitor the drafting and implementation of HR policies and other related
  • Ensure staff punctuality, tracking attendance, and addressing any attendance concerns
  • Maintain high levels of discipline across the workforce, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and guidelines.
  • Participate in the performance management process, including conducting staff appraisals and providing constructive feedback.
  • Assist in enforcing a culture of accountability and responsibility among
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job advertising, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits, including leave, medical insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant laws and policies.
  • Monitor employee attendance and ensure proper documentation for absences and
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and hospital
  • Assist in developing and implementing employee training and development
  • Support employee relations by resolving issues and fostering a positive work
  • Assist in performance management processes, including employee appraisals and feedback
  • Prepare reports on HR metrics, such as turnover, training, and
  • Support organizational development initiatives to improve workplace efficiency and staff
  • Assist in maintaining health and safety regulations and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related
  • MUST have At least 2 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a
  • Membership in a professional HR body (e.g., Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM)) will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and employee
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to
