Distribution Manager

We are a fast-growing Online Fresh Food Store in Kenya, delivering quality meat, fish, poultry, and fresh vegetables to customers. We are seeking a Distribution Manager to lead and grow our Eldoret branch operations. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire distribution process, manage a large team, and use innovative sales and marketing strategies—including social media—to drive growth and ensure excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the daily distribution operations of the Eldoret branch, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
• Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team of 30–50 staff including riders, packers, and customer service agents.
• Drive fresh food sales, especially meat, poultry, fish, and vegetables, using digital and offline channels.
• Utilize social media platforms (e.g., WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram) to engage with customers and generate sales.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through high service standards, quick resolution of issues, and excellent follow-up.
• Maintain inventory and stock levels in coordination with supply and warehouse teams.
• Build and manage strong networks with local suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.
• Understand and navigate the Eldoret city terrain to optimize delivery routes and reduce lead times.
• Track and analyze performance metrics to achieve and exceed sales and distribution targets.
• Report regularly to senior management on branch performance, staff, and operational challenges.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in fresh food sales (especially meat, fish, poultry, and vegetables).
• Proven ability to sell using social media platforms and engage with online communities.
• Strong sales and marketing skills, with a track record of retaining customers.
• Excellent team leadership and communication abilities.
• Good networking skills and local market knowledge.
• Must have deep familiarity with Eldoret City, including delivery routes and customer behavior.
• Diploma or Degree in Sales, Business, Logistics, or a related field is an added advantage.
