Description
The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, staff, or company property as assigned. The role ensures efficient delivery operations in line with company policies, safety standards, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive company vehicles to deliver goods to customers and distributors as per assigned routes and schedules.
- Ensure vehicle is kept clean, well-maintained, and fueled at all times.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues or damages immediately.
- Load and unload goods carefully to avoid damage and ensure accuracy of deliveries.
- Ensure all delivery documents are signed, recorded, and submitted as required.
- Maintain high levels of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Adhere to traffic laws, company driving policies, and road safety regulations.
- Assist with minor logistics and warehouse duties when not driving.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or delays promptly and accurately.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: KCSE Certificate.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience in a similar role, preferably in a corporate or logistics setting.
- Valid driver’s license (BCE or relevant class for company vehicles).
- Good knowledge of road networks and traffic regulations.
- Defensive driving training is an added advantage.
- Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, responsibility, and reliability.
