Farm Supervisor – Poultry Unit

Our client, Chari Farm Ltd, is urgently seeking a dedicated and hands-on Farm Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of their poultry unit. The ideal candidate will be experienced in poultry management, able to lead a small team, and committed to maintaining the health, productivity, and welfare of the birds.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities in the poultry unit including feeding, vaccination, cleaning, and monitoring bird health
• Ensure optimal care, hygiene, and biosecurity measures are consistently followed
• Maintain detailed records of bird growth, mortality, feeding, medication, and production
• Supervise and guide farm workers to ensure productivity and adherence to farm standards
• Report regularly to management on performance, stock levels, and any issues affecting the flock
• Monitor and manage poultry housing, lighting, and environmental conditions
• Assist in procurement and inventory of feed, medicine, and farm supplies
• Support planning and execution of breeding, brooding, and egg-laying programs

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Animal Health, Animal Production, General Agriculture, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar supervisory role on a poultry farm
• Must be 27 years or older
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Detail-oriented with good recordkeeping and problem-solving skills
