The individual must have solid financial acumen, experience in vendor management and an eye for detail to ensure accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and detecting numerical errors or discrepancies.

About the role
Reporting to the Managing Partner, the Finance Manager shall perform the following duties and responsibilities:
Accounting duties
- Record all transactions, generate invoices, purchase orders and receive payments from customers
- Using the company’s ERP software, ensure all financial transactions are authorized, accurately recorded and filed with adequate supporting documentation.
Vendor Management duties
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendors’ performance to align with business needs.
- Optimize cost efficiency by identifying opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements within the business
Reporting on financial health and liquidity of the business
- Develop cash flow forecasts per financial year, with review schedules monthly and quarterly.
- Develop and monitor of annual and project budgets
- Make recommendations on effective cash flow management.
- Maintain reviewed management accounts with quarterly reports.
- Guide the external audit process for Greydale including preparation of audit plans, reviews of reports, and implementation of recommendations.
- Implement internal controls to mitigate risks
- Support in the development and implementation of the standard operating procedure relating tofinancial management at Greydale Africa
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights and recommendations to the Partners.
Legislative financial duties
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and tax regulations
- File necessary tax returns for Greydale2
Qualifications Required
- CPA or ACCA with at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- At least 5 years’ progressive experience in finance management in a fast-paced organization or start-up environment
- Have solid financial acumen- Must be proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Sharp analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset
- Excellent attention to detail in spotting numerical errors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Be able to articulate financial concepts and results concisely to different stakeholders even those without a financial background
- Be adaptable, resilient, and capable of managing multiple priorities without losing focus
- Knowledge and extensive experience in the use of an ERP for accounting and financial management, MS Office software packages (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), cloud-based communication platforms (zoom, MS teams, etc.) and document management systems (OneDrive, WeTransfer, etc.)
Desired qualifications (preferred but not required)
- Experience working in a marketing agency
- Knowledge and experience in Zoho cloud-based financial and accounting software
