As part of our ongoing commitment to operational excellence and regulatory compliance, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Officer to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary:
The Finance Officer will play a key role in regulatory reporting, financial statement preparation, financial modeling, and stakeholder reporting. This role demands a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a strong understanding of banking regulations, IFRS, and SAP-based accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) reports in line with regulatory timelines and standards.
Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and internal policies.
Develop and maintain accurate financial models, including those related to:
Government securities valuation
IFRS 16 lease accounting
Staff loan valuation
Prepare and submit timely reports to key external stakeholders, including:
Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC)
Development Financial Institutions (DFIs)
Other regulatory and financial stakeholders
Academic & Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA or ACCA are mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the banking sector.
- Solid understanding of CBK prudential guidelines and banking regulations.
- Proficient in SAP General Ledger (GL), accounting policies, and internal controls.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and bank products and services.
