As part of our ongoing commitment to operational excellence and regulatory compliance, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Officer to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary:

The Finance Officer will play a key role in regulatory reporting, financial statement preparation, financial modeling, and stakeholder reporting. This role demands a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a strong understanding of banking regulations, IFRS, and SAP-based accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) reports in line with regulatory timelines and standards.

  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and internal policies.

  • Develop and maintain accurate financial models, including those related to:

    • Government securities valuation

    • IFRS 16 lease accounting

    • Staff loan valuation

  • Prepare and submit timely reports to key external stakeholders, including:

    • Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC)

    • Development Financial Institutions (DFIs)

    • Other regulatory and financial stakeholders

Academic & Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as CPA or ACCA are mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the banking sector.
  • Solid understanding of CBK prudential guidelines and banking regulations.
  • Proficient in SAP General Ledger (GL), accounting policies, and internal controls.
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS and bank products and services.
