Programme Officer
Description
Innovation for Health Equity in Africa (IHEA) is a registered non-profit organization based in Nairobi, Kenya, dedicated to advancing health equity across underserved communities. We focus on community-based public health interventions, maternal and child health services, and the co- creation of locally grounded, scalable solutions through research, innovation, and grassroots partnerships.
The Programme Officer will play a critical role in managing and supporting the implementation of ongoing programmes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for social impact and experience in programme operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate activities across IHEA’s ongoing and upcoming programmes;
- Support planning, logistics, and execution of community outreach events, trainings, and health service activities;
- Liaise with local health facilities, CHPs, and partners to ensure smooth programme delivery;
- Collect, manage, and report field data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project frameworks;
- Assist in monitoring and evaluation processes, including drafting reports and success stories;
- Support fundraising and proposal development through documentation and stakeholder
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years of experience in programme coordination or project management;
- Degree or diploma in public health, development studies, social sciences, or a related field;
- Experience working with NGOs or health-focused organizations in Kenya;
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational
