Description
You’ll be a key member of a dynamic legal team handling everything from contract drafting and court appearances to legal research and client advisory. This role is ideal for a recently admitted advocate (2–3 years PQE) with broad interests beyond criminal law and a passion for quality drafting and impactful advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft contracts, agreements, leases, wills, affidavits, pleadings, and legal opinions
- Handle civil, family, employment, and succession court appearances
- Conduct legal research and develop advisory briefs
- Support land transactions, business registration, and commercial deal execution
- Assist in client interviews, negotiations, and dispute resolution
Minimum Qualifications:
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, in good standing
- 2–3 years of post-admission experience in a general or boutique law firm
- Strong legal drafting and moderate litigation experience
- LLB + Postgraduate Diploma in Law (KSL)
- Familiarity with conveyancing, commercial law, family law, and land matters
- Proficiency in legal research tools, MS Office, and case management systems
