Laboratory Technician

Our client, a growing animal feeds manufacturing company based in Nakuru, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join their quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of animal feed products through rigorous testing and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished feed products.

• Perform chemical, nutritional, and microbiological analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards.

• Maintain accurate laboratory records and prepare detailed test reports.

• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.

• Monitor and enforce quality assurance protocols throughout the production process.

• Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in the laboratory.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma in Laboratory Technology, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Animal Science, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in animal feeds, food manufacturing, or agricultural testing.

• Skills: Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, laboratory testing methods, and ISO standards.

• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and precision in testing and documentation.

• Availability: Must be available to start immediately.
