Pharmaceutical Technologist Assistant – Mombasa

Our client, a fast-growing retail pharmacy in Mombasa, is looking to hire a Pharmaceutical Technologist Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. The ideal candidate will assist in dispensing medication, maintaining inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service under the supervision of a licensed pharmaceutical technologist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications as directed
• Support in packaging, labeling, and stocking of pharmaceutical products
• Provide basic customer service and assist clients with general inquiries
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy shelves and working area
• Monitor product expiry dates and assist in stock rotation
• Record and track stock levels, and alert the pharmacist on low inventory
• Assist in maintaining accurate patient and prescription records
• Observe and comply with pharmacy regulations, procedures, and safety standards
• Handle routine administrative duties as assigned by the supervising technologist

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Certificate or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology or a related healthcare field
• Previous experience in a pharmacy setup is an added advantage
• Basic understanding of pharmaceutical products and customer service principles
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a high level of integrity
• Willingness to learn and work under supervision
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
