Pharmaceutical Technologist – Mombasa

Our client, a reputable retail pharmacy in Nairobi, is seeking a qualified and dedicated Pharmaceutical Technologist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, offering professional advice to customers, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications accurately and efficiently
• Provide professional guidance on proper medication usage, dosage, and possible side effects
• Maintain up-to-date patient records and ensure confidentiality
• Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management, ordering, and expiry tracking
• Ensure the pharmacy is clean, well-organized, and compliant with regulatory standards
• Assist in compounding, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products as required
• Uphold professional ethics and regulatory compliance, including PPB requirements
• Educate patients on general health practices and wellness products
• Support daily operations of the pharmacy and contribute to a positive customer experience

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution
• Must be registered and licensed by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB)
• At least 3 years of experience working in a retail pharmacy setup
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, prescriptions, and drug interactions
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
