Pharmaceutical Technologist (Pharmacy)

Our Client is seeking a qualified and experienced Pharmaceutical Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products in accordance with regulatory standards.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately dispense prescribed medications and counsel patients on proper usage.
• Assist in the preparation and compounding of medications when necessary.
• Maintain and update stock records; ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
• Monitor drug expiry dates and ensure disposal of expired or damaged stock per PPB guidelines.
• Provide drug information and guidance to patients and clinical staff.
• Participate in pharmacovigilance and adverse drug reaction reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and professional requirements related to pharmacy practice.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure dispensary environment.
• Support inventory audits and procurement planning.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting.
• Valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
• Proficient knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and dosage administration.
• Good communication, customer service, and record-keeping skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable Attributes:

• Familiarity with health insurance systems and billing procedures.
• Experience using pharmacy management software or EMR systems.
• A proactive and compassionate approach to patient care.
