Registered Clinical Officer

IVC Milimani Mission Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Clinical Officer with at least 1 year of post-internship experience to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered clinical care in accordance with medical standards and the hospital’s mission of compassionate service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive clinical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for patients across all age groups
• Prescribe medications and treatments in line with current clinical guidelines and protocols
• Perform minor surgical procedures and medical interventions within the scope of practice
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and treatment plans
• Assist in emergency response and stabilization of critically ill patients
• Refer complex cases to senior medical officers or specialists as appropriate
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous medical education (CME) sessions
• Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment adherence
• Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and the hospital’s code of conduct

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution
• Must be registered and licensed by the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya
• Minimum of 1 year of post-internship clinical experience in a busy healthcare facility
• Valid practicing license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is an added advantage
• Proficient in clinical documentation and use of hospital information systems
