Description
We are hiring on behalf of our esteemed client in the telecommunications sector. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale Fiber-to-the-X (FTTx) network deployment projects.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between planning and execution, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Coordination
Support the Project Manager in the development of comprehensive project plans, work schedules, and resource allocation strategies for FTTx deployment.
Coordinate daily activities across engineering, operations, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure seamless execution.
Assist in tracking project milestones and deliverables, proactively identifying potential bottlenecks.
Organize and facilitate project meetings; prepare detailed agendas, minutes, and actionable follow-up logs.
2. Monitoring & Reporting
Track project progress against established schedules, budgets, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly status reports to internal management and external clients.
Maintain accurate project dashboards and documentation.
Identify potential risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate critical concerns to the Project Manager promptly.
Monitor contractor performance and report on productivity.
3. Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a key liaison between clients, contractors, local authorities, utility providers, and internal teams.
Facilitate clear and timely communication, ensuring all parties are aligned on project objectives.
Support stakeholder engagement activities to foster positive, long-term relationships.
4. Resource & Vendor Management
Coordinate the mobilization of field teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
Track material requirements, delivery schedules, and inventory utilization to prevent project delays.
Support procurement and logistics processes to ensure the continuous availability of resources.
Verify contractor deliverables and assist in the validation of invoices and work completion certificates.
5. Quality, Compliance & HSE
Ensure all project activities adhere to company policies, contractual agreements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support the implementation and enforcement of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols on all project sites.
Assist in conducting quality inspections, audits, and acceptance testing to ensure compliance with deployment standards.
6. Documentation & Close-Out
Maintain meticulous project documentation, including permits, approvals, engineering drawings, acceptance certificates, and as-built records.
Support the formal project handover process and ensure all close-out activities are completed.
Ensure all project documentation is accurately archived for future reference.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in telecommunications project coordination or project management.
Proven experience supporting FTTx, fiber optic, network rollout, or large-scale infrastructure deployment projects.
Skills & Competencies:
Experience working effectively with contractors, vendors, and field operations teams.
Strong working knowledge of telecom deployment processes (civil works, fiber installation, testing, and commissioning).
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
