Quality Assurance and QC Manager at Bridge Talent Management

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and implementing Quality KPIs for the Company; implements quality procedures ensures that inspection and reporting is adhered to as required in all production processes;
• Monitors all operations that affect quality, ensuring reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output;
• Appraise customer requirements, ensuring that quality standards are met and exceeded;
• Supervises and guides inspectors, technicians and other staff;
• Report all malfunctions to production managers and causes corrective action to be taken;
• Facilitates proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
• Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation
• Reviews current standards and policies, ensuring all legal standards are met;
• Communicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections
• Completing and endorsing all inspection records from initial inspection till final acceptance of the piping systems.
• Interprets welding procedure specifications and gives instructions to supervisors and QC inspectors.
• Responsible for ensuring that welding inspections are done and relevant documentation is completed.
• Interprets quality control plans/Inspection test plans and gives instructions to production team and QC inspectors at various inspection stages.
• Responsible for ensuring that relevant inspections of piping is done and supervises Non-destructive testing i.e.
• Magnetic particle inspections.
• Dye penetrant tests.
• Ultrasonic flaw detection.
• Visual inspections etc.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering related field
• Minimum of 10 years’ in a senior Quality assurance & control role in engineering or manufacturing industry in Operations i.e Production, Maintenance, Quality assurance etc
• Experience in implementation of Integrated quality systems highly preferred (i.e ISO 9001; ISO 14001 and ISO 45001)
• Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards;
• Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
• Post Graduate qualification in Industrial, Mechanical or Production Engineering or relevant field.
