ECDE Teacher – Umoja 2 Nairobi

Our client, a reputable early childhood learning center located in Umoja 2, Nairobi, is seeking a passionate and qualified ECDE (Early Childhood Development and Education) Teacher to join their team. The ideal candidate must reside within Umoja or its immediate surroundings and demonstrate a strong commitment to nurturing and educating young children in a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities for children aged 3–6 years.

• Create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

• Observe, assess, and document children’s progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians.

• Promote physical, emotional, and social development through structured play and learning.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom in line with health and safety standards.

• Collaborate with colleagues to plan events, learning themes, and school activities.

• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and caregivers regarding child development.

• Instill discipline and positive values through guidance and modeling.

• Uphold the school’s philosophy, policies, and child protection procedures.

Requirements

• A Certificate or Diploma in ECDE from a recognized institution (TSC number is an added advantage).

• Minimum of 1–2 years of teaching experience in an ECDE or pre-primary setting.

• Must reside within Umoja or nearby areas for easy commute.

• Passionate about early childhood education with a child-friendly approach.

• Strong communication skills in English and Kiswahili.

• Patient, caring, and enthusiastic with a genuine love for teaching children.

• Knowledge of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) is preferred.
