Account Manager (Sales Executive)

The group of three flower farms, all located in Kenya, produces a wide variety of Roses of the highest quality with a portfolio of more than 50 varieties of both standard and spray roses.The Sian Roses brand is synonymous with quality, reliability and responsibility.
We are looking to recruit a passionate, results-driven Account Manager to join our dynamic team at Sian Flowers. The successful candidate will be based at our Nakuru – Njoro farm and will play a key role in driving customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and business development aligned with our company’s mission and vision.
Job Purpose
- To acquire, build, retain, and develop a strong customer base that contributes to sustainable revenue growth and overall profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through consistent communication and timely resolution of inquiries.
- Understand customer needs regarding product specifications, preferred varieties, pricing, and more. Handle negotiations and plan orders accordingly.
- Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts and propose additional product lines and offers to grow the portfolio.
- Coordinate with the Credit Control Manager on payment terms and monitor account statuses.
- Manage the order process—from order requests and farm coordination to advising on shortfalls and preparing accurate packing lists and invoices.
- Address and resolve customer complaints promptly, providing timely feedback and raising claims as needed.
- Prepare sales reports, analyze trends and forecasts, and coordinate seasonal planning (e.g. Valentine's, Mother’s Day).
- Conduct both local and international client visits; attend major flower shows to strengthen client relationships and market understanding.
- Visit other flower farms and breeders to expand product knowledge and stay updated with market demands.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or a business-related field from a recognized institution
- Membership with the Marketing Society of Kenya (MSK) or a relevant professional body.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing, with at least 1 year in the horticulture industry.
