Retail Sales Assistant

We are expanding our retail team and looking for a fashion-forward, customer-centric Retail Sales Assistant to join our dynamic store. If you love fashion, thrive in fast-paced environments, and have a talent for styling and engaging clients, this is the role for you. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable with basic garment alterations (e.g., hemming) and be eager to contribute to both the operational and creative sides of our business.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, providing personalized styling advice to enhance their shopping experience
• Build product knowledge to confidently recommend items and boost sales
• Operate the POS system to handle sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently
• Perform basic clothing alterations (e.g., pant hemming) using store sewing equipment
• Maintain visual merchandising standards, including display setup and store cleanliness
• Monitor and replenish stock, ensure accurate product tagging, and assist with regular inventory counts
• Address and resolve customer concerns with professionalism, escalating issues when necessary
• Work collaboratively to meet or exceed daily sales targets
• Keep up to date with the latest fashion trends, in-store promotions, and company guidelines

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in retail or fashion sales (alterations experience is a plus)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Basic sewing skills (e.g., hemming) or willingness to learn
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling procedures
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and assist with store maintenance
• A passion for fashion and strong understanding of current styles and trends
