Kenya Builders Company is seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Engineer to drive the adoption of our Beam & Block flooring solutions and other construction products across Kenya. This role bridges technical expertise and commercial sales, targeting developers, contractors, architects, and engineers. The ideal candidate will provide technical guidance, develop client relationships, and contribute to the company’s growth by delivering tailored solutions that meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales & Business Development

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for Beam & Block flooring systems and related products.

    • Build and maintain relationships with developers, contractors, architects, and engineers.

    • Prepare and deliver persuasive technical presentations, proposals, and quotations.

  2. Technical Support & Solution Design

    • Provide expert advice on product specifications, installation, and compliance with industry standards.

    • Conduct site visits to assess project needs and recommend optimal solutions.

    • Collaborate with the engineering team to customize products for client requirements.

  3. Market & Client Engagement

    • Represent the company at trade shows, seminars, and industry events.

    • Gather market intelligence on competitor products and emerging trends.

    • Address client inquiries promptly and resolve technical or commercial concerns.

  4. Collaboration & Reporting

    • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.

    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline in CRM systems.

    • Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales, construction product sales, or engineering consultancy.

  • Proven track record of selling building materials, flooring systems, or prefabricated solutions.

  • Strong understanding of Kenya’s construction industry and regulatory standards.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, CRM software, and Microsoft Office.

  • Willingness to travel frequently to client sites across Kenya.
