Description
The Vendor Sales Specialist will serve as the primary liaison between Jumia and its marketplace vendors, ensuring a seamless, positive experience throughout the vendor lifecycle. This role focuses on proactive engagement, issue resolution, and driving vendor success through account guidance and operational support. The ideal candidate will combine strong communication skills with a problem-solving mindset to enhance vendor satisfaction and contribute to the company's revenue growth.
Vendor Relationship Management
Serve as the first point of contact for vendors, addressing inquiries, concerns, and escalations promptly.
Proactively engage in one-on-one interactions with vendors, and come up with swift and effective solutions to ensure a good vendor experience.
Guide vendors on company policies, operational processes, and compliance requirements.
Maintain strong, long-term relationships to foster trust and recurring partnership.
Account Support & Onboarding
Support vendors with onboarding, documentation, and training where necessary.
Ensure accurate and timely handling of vendor requests through phone, email, and system platforms.
Maintain accurate records of all vendor interactions and feedback in the system.
Performance & Sales Guidance
Monitor vendor performance metrics and flag areas requiring improvement.
Guide vendors in managing their accounts to boost sales and implement structures for increased profitability for the company.
Provide data-driven recommendations to help vendors optimize their listings, pricing, and inventory.
Issue Resolution & Escalation
Escalate unresolved issues to the relevant departments while maintaining ownership until closure.
Ensure adherence to KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards in handling vendor interactions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Quality, Logistics, etc.) to ensure vendor satisfaction and process improvements.
Assist in driving initiatives aimed at improving vendor experience and reducing recurring issues.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Customer Service, or a related field.
Previous experience in vendor management, customer service, or call center operations preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with Sprinklr.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
