Healthpact Hospital is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving business expansion in line with the hospital’s strategic objectives.
Healthpact Hospital Isiolo is a modern level 4 SHA accredited, patient-centered facility committed to delivering quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare to the Isiolo community and beyond, with monthly visits of above 4,000 patients. With a strong focus on innovation, compassionate care, and clinical excellence, we are setting new standards for healthcare delivery in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase hospital revenue and market
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitors, and customer
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans and initiatives to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential and current business partners, including corporate clients, insurance companies, and community organizations.
- Represent the hospital at industry events, conferences, and networking
- Coordinate with the marketing and sales teams to ensure the hospital’s services are well- promoted and reach the target audience.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and reports for senior management on potential business
- Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with external partners, ensuring favorable terms for the hospital.
- Monitor the performance of business development initiatives and make recommendations for
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new clients or
- Assist in coordinating referrals from hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, and corporate clients to ensure a steady stream of patients, especially for maternity, theatre, and inpatient services.
- Contribute to the marketing initiatives that target referral networks, ensuring that Healthpact Hospital is a preferred provider for key partners.
- Track performance metrics related to business development initiatives and collaborate with the marketing team to adjust strategies for optimal growth.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related
- At least 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Strong understanding of business development strategies, market research, and customer relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business development
