Assistant Store Keeper
Description
Instarect Limited is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Store Keeper to join our team. The successful candidate will undergo on-the-job training at our Nairobi office and thereafter be permanently based at our Naivasha retail shop. This role is key in supporting day-to-day store operations, inventory management, and ensuring timely and accurate handling of stock.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming stock.
- Organize and maintain accurate inventory records using the company’s inventory system.
- Support stock issuance, returns, and replenishment activities.
- Ensure that all stock is safely stored, properly labeled, and accessible.
- Assist in conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations.
- Keep the store area clean, safe, and well-organized.
- Assist in monitoring stock levels and notifying the supervisor of low or excess stock.
- Help in preparing stock reports, requisitions, and documentation as required.
- Support customer service activities within the shop when needed.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by the Store Supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Storekeeping, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar storekeeping or inventory role is an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of inventory management systems and stock control processes.
- Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to relocate permanently to Naivasha after the initial training period in Nairobi.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
