Clearing Operations Manager

The job holder will be responsible for overseeing and managing all clearing and forwarding activities to ensure smooth and timely importation of goods. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent knowledge of customs procedures, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and compliance management.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate with shipping lines, customs officials, freight forwarders, and port
• Ensure full compliance with all customs and regulatory
• Supervise documentation processes including Form M, PAAR, bill of lading, and duty
• Maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies to facilitate smooth
• Handling of abnormal customs clearance issues
• Applying for export tax rebates

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in import clearing and logistics, preferably in a managerial
• In-depth knowledge of customs clearance processes, trade compliance, and port
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight
• Proficiency in MS Office and logistics
• Good communication skills (Fluent in both kiswahili and English -Spoken and written )
• Possession of a KESRA certificate in customs freight and logistics is an added advantage
