Procurement and Credit Recovery Officer

Sentimental Energy Company Limited, a duly registered company in Kenya since 2012 and incorporated in 2016, was established to provide low-cost energy solutions to the region’s domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors. Specializing in solar energy and low-load-consuming lighting solutions, we design, develop, and install sustainable energy systems tailored to meet our clients' needs.

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Procurement and Credit Recovery Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage the procurement of goods and services to support organizational operations while ensuring the timely recovery of outstanding debts.

Responsibilities:

• Procurement Management:

  • Identify reliable suppliers, evaluate proposals, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and services in line with company policies and budget.
  • Track and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Maintain procurement documentation and records for compliance and audit purposes.

• Credit Recovery:

  • Develop and implement strategies for recovering overdue payments from clients.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices through calls, emails, and client visits.
  • Resolve payment disputes and maintain accurate records of debt recovery efforts.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate client account reconciliation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in procurement and/or debt collection (minimum 3-5 years).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
• Familiarity with procurement software and accounting ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
