Description
We are urgently seeking a Procurement Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should be able to report to work immediately and support the procurement function in ensuring timely, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of goods and services. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the sourcing and procurement of goods, works, and services in compliance with organizational policies and donor regulations.
- Prepare purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain up-to-date procurement records.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of procurement documents.
- Assist in vendor selection, evaluation, and management processes.
- Support in obtaining and analyzing quotations, bids, and proposals.
- Maintain an up-to-date supplier database.
- Work closely with finance and program teams to ensure seamless procurement processes.
- Assist in inventory checks and reconciliation where necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar procurement or supply chain role.
- Experience working with NGOs is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of procurement procedures, policies, and best practices.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
