Procurement Attachee
Description
TransAfrica Water is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Attachee to join our team. The successful candidate will support the procurement department in various administrative and operational tasks, gaining valuable exposure to procurement processes and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and management of purchase orders and contracts.
- Support the procurement team with sourcing and evaluating suppliers.
- Assist in negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers.
- Maintain procurement records and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Help manage inventory and track stock levels to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement needs.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and trends.
- Assist in the preparation of procurement reports and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a university or college program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Eagerness to learn and develop in a professional procurement setting.
