Procurement Officer
Description
Freds Ranch and Resort is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to manage the acquisition of goods and services essential for the efficient operation of the resort. The ideal candidate will ensure cost-effective and timely procurement, maintain supplier relationships, and uphold the highest standards of transparency and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute procurement strategies in line with the resort’s needs and budget.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and quotations.
Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast future purchasing needs.
Maintain up-to-date procurement records and reports.
Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.
Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements.
Support audits and provide documentation as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar procurement role, preferably in the hospitality or service industry.
Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or equivalent professional body.
Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
