Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Stock Controller to manage inventory operations for a busy restaurant. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal stock levels, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with suppliers to guarantee smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels of food, beverages, and restaurant supplies to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Record Keeping: Maintain precise and up-to-date stock records using inventory management systems.
- Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers to place orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming goods for quality, quantity, and compliance with specifications.
- Procurement Oversight: Assist in purchasing decisions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to budget.
- Storage Management: Organize and supervise proper storage of perishable and non-perishable items to minimize waste.
- Reporting: Generate regular stock reports, highlight discrepancies, and recommend improvements.
- IT Utilization: Leverage technology to streamline inventory tracking and reporting processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Stock Controller or similar role, preferably in the restaurant/hospitality industry.
- Strong IT skills – proficiency in inventory management software, spreadsheets (Excel), and basic data analysis.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
