Key Responsibilities
- Managing stores operations in an efficient manner by ensuring timely receipt, storage and dispatch of stocks.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and record receipt of goods in the management systems.
- Inspect and check incoming stocks for damage, discrepancies, or defects, reporting any issues to the Head of
- Finance & Investments and coordinating with vendors or suppliers for resolution.
- Monitoring all stock movement to and from the warehouse and to the various stores, ensuring the required minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained.
- Providing daily, weekly and monthly summary reports to the head of department on the store's status
- Planning and execution of regular stock take to ascertain stock accuracy and reconcile discrepancies between the physical stock and the system data.
- Ensuring stocks accuracy in stock cards as well as the system, sharing the stock reports to relevant departments for execution of their mandate e.g. sales, planning, dispatch and suppliers
- Enforce compliance of stock control processes by all warehouse team interacting with various stock items.
- Continuously establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse management set up, conducting regular safety inspections, equipment checks, and preventive maintenance activities on warehouse equipment, reporting any defects or malfunctions for repair.
- Drive customer service excellence to every aspect of the warehouse, including warehouse appearance, labelling, arrangement and display of merchandise, product placement etc.
- Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of BSK projects for measurement of impact
- Make suggestions on BSK programmes and projects including new scripture products
- Support the implementation of the various BSK programmes
- Assist in managing the relations with Bible publishing and production partners to ensure BSK goals and customer needs are met.
- Perform any other duty as assigned by the Head of Finance and investments, the General Secretary /CEO or any other authorized official of Bible Society of Kenya.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Minimum CIPS II
- At least 8 years of working experience of which 4 should be in a supervisory role
- Experience in warehouse management is essential
- Financial Acumen
- Ability to build relationships
- Ability to work under pressure
- Computer literacy with working knowledge of Procurement and warehouse softwares/applications
- • Must be a born again Christian.
