Café Barbera is seeking a reliable, presentable, and skilled Assistant Chef to join our passionate culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the Head Chef in preparing and presenting exceptional dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes according to Café Barbera’s recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food items meet quality, taste, and presentation requirements.
- Support kitchen inventory management, including receiving deliveries and proper storage of ingredients.
- Maintain strict hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards in line with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in coordinating kitchen workflow and provide support during busy service periods.
- Participate in daily cleaning, organization, and closing procedures.
- Qualifications
- Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food & Beverage, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Valid Food Handling & Hygiene Certificate.
- Minimum of 3 years of continuous, proven experience as an Assistant Chef in a high-end restaurant.
