Housekeeper – Mombasa

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hotel. Your efforts will ensure that our guests enjoy a comfortable, fresh, and welcoming environment during their stay in Mombasa.

Key Responsibilities

• Room Cleaning: Clean and service guest bedrooms and bathrooms according to the hotel’s standards (making beds, dusting, vacuuming, replenishing linens and amenities).

• Public Areas: Maintain the cleanliness of corridors, lobbies, and other public areas of the hotel.

• Linen Management: Collect and deliver linen, and ensure proper handling of guest laundry if applicable.

• Reporting: Immediately report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor.

• Lost & Found: Report and turn in any lost and found items found in rooms or public areas.

• Stock Control: Ensure the housekeeping trolley is stocked with necessary supplies and cleaning materials.

• Guest Requests: Respond promptly to guest requests for extra towels, pillows, or other items.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Minimum KCSE certificate. A certificate in Housekeeping or Hospitality from a recognized institution is an added advantage.

• Experience: At least 1-2 years of proven experience as a housekeeper or room attendant in a hotel.

• Knowledge: Understanding of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
