Our client, a reputable player in the luxury safari hospitality sector, is seeking a seasoned and visionary Lodge Manager to lead the operations of a high-end safari lodge. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, elevating service standards, and driving strategic lodge performance while managing day-to-day operations with excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guest Experience & Service Excellence
- Lead and maintain the lodge’s reputation for luxury service and immersive guest
- Personally engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle any feedback or special requests with utmost professionalism.
- Instill a strong service culture across all departments, ensuring consistent delivery of high-end
- Team Leadership & People Development
- Manage, motivate, and mentor staff to build a highly engaged and performance-driven
- Champion training, SOP adherence, and continuous service improvement across
- Foster a collaborative and respectful workplace aligned with the lodge’s values and service
- Operational Management
- Oversee all departments (front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, ) to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Coordinate lodge logistics including procurement, transport, guest activities, and site
- Implement and review operational systems and controls to ensure efficiency and
- Strategic Planning & Business Development
- Drive the strategic growth of the lodge in line with the brand vision and guest
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve guest retention, occupancy rates, and revenue
- Build relationships with key stakeholders including tour operators, DMCs, and local
- Financial Oversight
- Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial targets are
- Track KPIs including RevPAR, guest satisfaction, staff productivity, and
- Collaborate with finance teams to produce accurate reports and
- Sustainability & Brand Standards
- Uphold the lodge’s environmental ethos through sustainable operations and community
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory
- Champion the lodge’s brand image, style, and unique
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 8+ years in luxury lodge or boutique resort management, preferably in East
- Proven track record in leading teams, improving guest satisfaction scores, and implementing high standards.
- Strong people skills, guest-facing confidence, and the ability to inspire and manage multicultural teams
- Solid financial and operational acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and optimize
- Experience working with tour companies, DMCs, and international
- A hospitality-related degree or diploma is highly
- Knowledge of eco-tourism principles and sustainability practices is a
