Production Manager at Timeless Timber Kenya

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the entire production process, from timber selection to final product quality, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

The Production Manager will play a key role in aligning production processes, maintaining quality control, and reporting regularly to upper management.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee Daily Operations: Manage all aspects of production, including timber selection, process alignment, and quality control to ensure the timely and efficient production of flooring and decking products.
2. Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet our high standards and comply with industry regulations.
3. Process Optimization: Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste while maintaining product quality.
4. Team Management: Lead and supervise production staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
5. Resource Management: Plan and manage resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to meet production targets and minimize costs.
6. Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, quality control, and operational efficiency to senior management.
7. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all production activities comply with health and safety regulations, fostering a safe working environment for all employees.
8. Budget Management: Prepare and manage production budgets, tracking costs and making adjustments as necessary to stay within financial constraints.

Qualifications

Experience with lean manufacturing or other process improvement methodologies.

Familiarity with the timber industry and knowledge of various types of wood used in flooring and decking
