Full Stack Developer

Suluhu is an innovative on-demand home services platform in Kenya, connecting customers with skilled service providers. We are on a mission to simplify the process of finding reliable home services, such as cleaning, plumbing, electrical repairs, and more. As we prepare for our upcoming launch, we are looking for a talented Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Full-Stack Developer to help build and enhance the Suluhu platform. You will play a key role in developing new features, improving existing functionalities, and ensuring a seamless user experience for both customers and service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy front-end and back-end features for the Suluhu web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, and other developers) to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Optimize application performance, ensuring fast load times and smooth user interactions.
• Integrate third-party APIs, including MPESA, Google Maps, and payment gateways.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and security vulnerabilities.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality code standards and best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for new and existing features.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience:

• At least 3+ years of experience in full-stack development.
• Proven experience with mobile and web app development using Flutter and Django.
• Strong experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and back-end frameworks (Python Django).
• Experience with MySQL databases, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and version control (Git).
• Familiarity with Google Maps API, GPS tracking, and MPESA payment integration.

Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Agile development experience is a plus.
