General Expansion Officer

Mwingi is looking for a highly skilled and driven General Expansion Officer to spearhead the company’s growth efforts in the FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in sourcing, working with wholesalers, distributors, and supermarkets. This role demands strategic leadership, relationship management, and expertise in supply chain operations to drive market expansion and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies for business expansion across new and existing markets.
• Identify and establish partnerships with wholesalers, distributors, and supermarkets to drive growth.
• Lead sourcing initiatives to ensure consistent and cost-effective procurement of quality FMCG products.
• Analyze market trends, consumer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new partners and suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to foster long-term collaboration.
• Monitor performance metrics and provide regular reports on expansion progress and outcomes.
• Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and partners to maximize profitability.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies in all expansion activities.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• Experience: Over 5 years in sourcing, wholesaler and distributor management, and partnerships with supermarkets within the FMCG sector.
• Strong track record in driving market expansion and achieving business targets.
• Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in supply chain operations and related software/tools.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of FMCG industry trends and best practices.
