Job Summary:
The Front Desk Clerk will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a hotel or lodge, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction, attention to detail, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Services:

  • Greet guests warmly and assist with check-in and check-out processes.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Provide information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by anticipating and addressing their needs.

Reservations and Bookings:

  • Manage room reservations, including processing bookings, cancellations, and modifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of room availability and guest information.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

Administrative Duties:

  • Process guest payments and maintain accurate billing records.
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and redirect calls as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
  • Assist in preparing daily reports, including occupancy rates and guest feedback.

Operational Support:

  • Monitor and manage inventory of front office supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guest requests and issues.
  1. Safety and Security:

  • Follow safety and security protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
  • Handle emergencies and incidents calmly and efficiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Front Desk Clerk or similar role in a hotel or lodge.
  3. Strong knowledge of front office operations, including reservations and guest services.
  4. Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
