Job Summary

The Payables Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely processing of supplier invoices, contractor bills, and other financial obligations. This position is vital for upholding the hospital’s financial controls, supporting accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring they match purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and contractors.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable records.
• Resolve payment discrepancies and vendor queries professionally.
• Enforce internal controls to safeguard financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and audit requirements.
• Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to verify invoice approvals and resolve issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or CPA (K) qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a medium to large organization.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
