Business Development Officer – Kitui

Jirani Smart is looking for a goal-oriented and self-motivated Business Development Officer to join our growing team in Kitui. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding our customer base, promoting our products and services, and building long-term relationships with clients in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and grow new business opportunities within the Kitui region
• Promote and sell company products and services to new and existing clients
• Conduct field visits, client presentations, and product demonstrations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and community stakeholders
• Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
• Achieve set sales targets and performance metrics
• Collaborate with the operations and customer service teams to ensure client satisfaction

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in a business-related field (Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, etc.)
• KCSE Mean Grade of C Plain, with at least a C Plain in Mathematics
• Previous sales and marketing experience is an added advantage
• Motorbike riding skills are a plus
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a target-driven environment
• Knowledge of the Kitui region will be an added advantage
