Branch Manager
Description
Our Client is seeking an experienced and skilled Branch Manager to lead one of our established branches. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the branch, driving sales growth, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, quality and operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- ▪︎ Quality Assurance, by ensuring and monitoring the quality of meats both in stock and supplied by suppliers. Conducting regular quality checks and audits to maintain product standards.
- ▪︎ Stock Management by, maintaining an effective stock management system within the branch. Overseeing inventory orders from suppliers, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
- ▪︎ Inter-Branch Coordination and Collaboration, by liaising with other branch managers to ensure proper and efficient sharing of unsold stocks. Coordinating with branches to manage stock levels and reduce overstocking. Collaborating with other stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- ▪︎ Staff Management, by maintaining discipline among the butchers, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Providing training and development opportunities to enhance staff performance. Managing schedules and shifts.
- ▪︎ Hygiene and Sanitation, by ensuring the butchery adheres to the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation. Implementing and monitoring sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- ▪︎ Sales and Growth, by reviewing branch sales trends and provide guidance on improvements to drive growth. Developing and implementing sales strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and increase revenue. Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- ▪︎ Quality Control , by championing quality control measures within the branch for meats and meat handling. Ensuring all staff follow proper handling and storage procedures to maintain product integrity.
- ▪︎ Financial Management by, maintaining branch expenditures within budget and manage petty cash expenses. Preparing financial reports and analyze branch financial performance.
- ▪︎ Daily Operations, by ensuring the smooth running of daily branch operations. Addressing and resolving any operational issues promptly to maintain business continuity. Implementing continuous improvement practices.
- ▪︎ Compliance, by adhering to health and safety standards, protocols, industry standards and company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- ▪︎ 5+ years proven experience in a managerial role within the butchery or meat industry.
- ▪︎ Strong understanding of meat quality standards and stock management practices.
- ▪︎ High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Business, or related field preferred.
- ▪︎ Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
- ▪︎ Strong leadership and team management skills.
- ▪︎ Ability to analyze sales trends and develop effective strategies.
- ▪︎ Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation regulations.
- ▪︎ Understanding of food safety and hygiene
- ▪︎ Proficient in financial management and budget control.
- ▪︎ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- ▪︎ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- ▪︎ Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of retail software systems.
