Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Hospital Administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations of Africa Inuka Hospital. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless delivery of healthcare services, managing staff and resources efficiently, and supporting the hospital's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily hospital operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Manage budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation in collaboration with the finance team.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of medical, administrative, and support staff.
- Monitor and improve patient care services, focusing on quality and patient satisfaction.
- Ensure the hospital is adequately staffed, recruiting and training personnel as needed.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, vendors, and community partners.
- Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and inventory of hospital equipment and supplies.
- Address and resolve operational challenges, staff grievances, and patient complaints promptly.
- Ensure compliance with legal, health, and safety guidelines.
- Develop and implement strategies for hospital growth and sustainability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in hospital administration or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with staff, patients, and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in hospital management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make informed decisions.
