Clerk of Works

The Clerk of Works will serve as the client’s eyes and ears on site, ensuring all construction works meet the approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and statutory requirements. This is a fixed one-year contract role for the duration of the project

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect all site activities daily to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with specifications and drawings.
• Check workmanship, materials, and installation of finishes, joinery, MEP, and external works to ensure high standards.
• Verify progress against the project schedule and flag any delays or risks to the Project
• Document and report all inspections, site issues, and progress through detailed daily logs, photographs, and weekly reports.
• Witness key tests and inspections (e.g., concrete strength tests, lift installation tests, solar system commissioning).
• Ensure contractors rectify any defects or non-conformances
• Monitor health and safety compliance and report violations
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure smooth project
• Assist in validating contractor claims, variations, and material approvals against site

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising large-scale residential or mixed-use
• Strong understanding of structural works, finishes, joinery, MEP systems, and quality control procedures.
• Ability to enforce quality standards and resolve issues
• Excellent reporting, communication, and organizational
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic project tracking
• Assertive, detail-oriented, and able to work
