Centenary Microenterprise Services Ltd. (CEMES) was established in March 2011 as a microfinance consultancy firm, serving microfinance and SACCO institutions in Kenya. Over time, we transitioned into a micro-credit organization registered under the laws of Kenya, Cap. 486. Our mission is to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by supporting individuals and strengthening community institutions to improve living standards.
Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and results-driven Relationship Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining relationships with clients, supporting their financial needs, and contributing to the organization's growth. This position offers an opportunity to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment while making a positive impact in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
Portfolio Management:
- Monitor client accounts to ensure timely repayments and adherence to credit agreements.
- Identify opportunities to expand client portfolios through cross-selling and upselling of financial products.
Outreach and Engagement:
- Conduct client onboarding and educate clients on available products and services.
- Engage with micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to identify growth opportunities and provide financial support.
Market Analysis:
- Gather and analyze market data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for business growth.
- Provide feedback to the management team on product development and client needs.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with colleagues in a collaborative team environment to achieve shared goals.
- Share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of customer service and operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving targets.
- Basic knowledge of microfinance and MSME operations is an added advantage.

- Willingness to travel and work in diverse community settings as required.
