Description
Tarita Farm is looking for a Dairy Farm Supervisor to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily dairy farm operations including herd management, milking
- Oversee animal nutrition programs and ensure optimal feed management
- Implement and monitor feed rations ensuring Total mixed rations are distributed as per recommendations
- Drive adoption of modern farming technologies to improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with dairy farming standards and safety regulations
- Maintain quality control for both livestock and feed stocks
- Manage operational budgets and control expenses
- Supervise and train farm staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Agriculture, Animal Science, Animal health or related field
- Certified in artificial insemination.
- Proven experience in assisted reproduction
- Minimum 5 years of dairy farm management experience
- Strong knowledge of modern dairy farming practices and technologies
- Proficient in farm machinery operation and maintenance
- Computer literate
