Finance & Accounts Manager

Our client, a leading flower export company, is looking to hire a qualified and experienced Finance & Accounts Manager to oversee financial operations, reporting, compliance, and export-related accounting activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee export accounting, including invoicing, multi-currency transactions, and international trade receivables.

• Reconcile air freight charges, clearing fees, and airline invoices and monitor freight-related costs.

• Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow statements, budgets, and variance reports.

• Manage KRA tax compliance, including VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory returns.

• Maintain accurate and compliant financial records and documentation.

• Coordinate external audits and ensure the business remains audit-ready.

• Monitor financial controls and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency.

• Provide management with accurate financial information to support business decision-making.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance) or a related field.

• CPA-K or ACCA qualification is required.

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a Finance/Accounts Manager role, preferably within flower export, horticulture, or air cargo.

• Strong knowledge of export accounting, international transactions, and freight cost reconciliation.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.

• Advanced MS Excel skills, including financial modelling and analysis.

• Good understanding of KRA, VAT, withholding tax, and statutory compliance.

• Strong analytical, reporting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
