Inventory Supervisor

Our client, a leading food manufacturer based in Nairobi, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Supervisor to oversee inventory operations across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. This is a critical role that ensures stock accuracy, minimizes losses, and supports seamless production and distribution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inventory Operations – Oversee daily inventory operations across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods, including temperature-controlled and cold-chain stock.

• Stock Movement – Ensure accurate receiving, put-away, picking, dispatch, and stock movement in line with FIFO and FEFO principles.

• Stock Counts – Lead cycle counts and full stock takes, investigating variances promptly.

• Stock Accuracy – Maintain high stock accuracy and minimize shrinkage, damages, and expired stock.

• Cross-Functional Coordination – Coordinate closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Reporting – Generate timely inventory reports and KPIs for management.

• Compliance – Enforce warehouse standards, hygiene, food safety, and safety compliance at all times.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential (Must-Have):

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum 4–6 years of inventory or warehouse experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

• Hands-on knowledge of inventory systems (ERP or WMS).

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and leadership abilities.

Desirable (Added Advantage):

• Strong experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, or cold-chain environments.

• Certification in supply chain or inventory management (e.g., CIPS, APICS).

• Experience implementing process improvements in warehouse operations.
