Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Salesperson with a proven track record in the construction industry to promote and sell our steel and construction products. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with excellent communication skills, a strong customer focus, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the construction and steel industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, developers, and wholesalers.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable steel products and solutions.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, quotes, and proposals.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to close deals and meet sales targets.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for business growth.
- Provide exceptional after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote TuffSteel products.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience in the construction, steel, or building materials industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of steel products, construction materials, and industry trends.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for client meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with contractors, architects, or construction firms.
- Technical knowledge of steel fabrication, roofing, or structural materials.
- Existing network of contacts in the Kenyan construction industry.
