Role Overview
We seek a dynamic Solar Technical Sales Representative to drive growth in our residential and commercial solar product lines. Your mission will be to educate potential clients about clean energy solutions, promote our solar product range, and achieve sales targets through consultative, technically-informed selling.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field visits and free consultations to assess clients’ solar energy needs.
- Present and demonstrate solar solutions (e.g., inverters, panels, batteries, water heaters) with strong product knowledge.
- Develop customized system proposals, estimating load, savings, and payback periods.
- Identify and cultivate business opportunities in residential and commercial markets.
- Maintain the sales pipeline, forecast deals, and meet/exceed monthly and quarterly targets.
- Coordinate with technical teams for quotes, installations, and after-sales support.
- Represent the company at community events and industry expos to enhance brand visibility.
- Track competitor activity and market trends, relaying insights to the team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
- 2+ years’ experience in technical sales—preferably in solar, renewable energy, or electrical systems
- Proficient in sales proposal development and customer relationship management
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to explain complex products clearly
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and organized
- Full driving license and willingness to travel within Nairobi and its surroundings
