We are looking for passionate, results-driven Solar Sales Manager to join our team and help us expand our market reach in the Francophone counties in Africa (Djibouti, Madagascar, Burundi, Comoros, Seychelles)

Job Purpose:

The Solar Sales Manager will be responsible for designing and promoting solar energy solutions within the region to potential customers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and sales skills to assess client needs, develop custom solar power solutions, and effectively communicate the benefits and cost savings of solar energy systems. The Solar Sales Manager will work closely with both the sales and engineering teams to ensure the best possible experience and solution for the customer. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, a deep understanding of renewable energy, and the ability to communicate complex solutions in a simple and effective way.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve and exceed sales targets as provided by the
  2. Identify new clients in the renewable energy business and establish rapport with potential and actual clients and support marketing activities.
  3. Facilitate signing service contracts, prepare quotations, arrange for demonstrations and training for installations with clients.
  4. Monitor competitors’ products, strategy and new
  5. Support clients with necessary service required and provide relationship
  6. Follow up on customers payments to ensure that payment is done in line with the company’s
  7. Document sale activities, generate reports and maintain client’s transaction
  8. Maintain database for potential clients who can partner with the
  9. Identify long-term and short-term issues that need to be addressed and advise the management on strategic issues relating to new proposals, problem areas etc.
  10. Prepare and deliver technical presentations including pre-sale technical assistance and product
  11. Visit prospective clients at commercial, industrial or other establishments to show samples, catalogues, and inform them about product principles and advantages/gains and/or long-term benefits.

Academic, Professional Qualification and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Renewable energy, Sales and Marketing, Business administration or any related field
  2. 3-5 Years Sales experience in Renewable Energy
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to educate and engage customers effectively
  5. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation
  6. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet
  7. Ability to speak both French and English is an added advantage
