Our client is a leading producer of high-quality animal feeds, dedicated to supporting the agricultural sector through innovative products and excellent customer service. We are looking for a dynamic Sales and Marketing Officer to join our team and drive sales while building strong relationships with our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Customer Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with direct customers, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
- Actively engage with customers to understand market demands and promote our animal feed products.
Marketing and Business Development:
- Develop and execute effective marketing strategies to increase sales and market presence.
- Conduct market research and provide feedback on customer preferences, competitor activities, and market trends.
Leadership and Team Coordination:
- Oversee and manage shop attendants, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent customer service.
- Provide guidance and training to team members to enhance performance and productivity.
Travel and Outreach:
- Travel to various regions to meet customers, conduct product demonstrations, and explore new market opportunities.
- Represent the company at agricultural fairs, exhibitions, and other events to promote products.
Reporting and Performance Monitoring:
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
- Monitor sales targets and work towards exceeding the monthly benchmark of Ksh. 2.5M.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a sales and marketing role, preferably in the animal feeds or farming industry, with direct customer interaction.
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Motorcycle license (an added advantage).
- Willingness to travel extensively across regions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other sales-related software.
