Description
Lintons is seeking a highly experienced Product Manager to oversee product flow across our beauty retail business. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the right products reach the right stores, in the right quantities, at the right time and cost. You will lead inventory, warehouse, dispatch, and logistics operations to maintain product availability, protect cash flow, and uphold our strict stock accuracy and quality standards.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Planning, Controls, Risk & Compliance
Plan stock levels and replenishment based on sales forecasts, promotions, seasonality, and supplier lead times.
Monitor ageing, slow-moving, and excess stock to optimize inventory investment and cash flow.
Maintain accurate inventory records, reconcile stock, and investigate discrepancies to prevent shrinkage and losses.
Apply FIFO/FEFO principles and segment safety, returned, and expired stock appropriately.
Enforce shelf-life, expiry, tester disposal, and handling procedures, ensuring no expired products are on shop floors.
Coordinate monthly inventory reviews and ensure compliance with operational procedures and regulatory requirements.
Operational Excellence
Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and logistics to ensure accurate orders and timely store deliveries.
Improve warehouse organization, fulfilment turnaround times, and distribution costs.
Manage returns, damages, transfers, recalls, and expired inventory, ensuring timely reconciliation and closure.
Maintain data accuracy in ERP/WMS systems and prepare performance dashboards and operational reports.
Identify and implement process improvements that strengthen efficiency, product availability, and cash flow.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
Experience managing high SKU volumes and expiry-sensitive products.
Working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems, Excel, and inventory reporting.
Understanding of FIFO/FEFO principles.
Strong communication, attention to detail, and integrity.
Advantageous: Beauty, FMCG, pharmaceutical, or multi-site retail experience.
